Former President and CEO of Hydro-Quebec (Canada) – one of the largest electrical energy producers in the world. He was also President and CEO of Metropolitan Gas (Canada), Deputy-Minister for the Department of Environment (Quebec), Past President and Director of the recruiting committee for the World Energy Council (WEC, London). He is currently a Board member of the National Bank of Canada, a Member of the International Consultative Committee of OCP (Morocco), the world no. 1 phosphate producer, President of the Canadian Gas Association, Board member of Junex, a shale gas exploration company (Quebec) and Chairman of the Board of the University of Montreal. Mr. Caillé has received a number of prestigious awards for his work and his contributions to society. Namely, he received the Order of Canada, was decorated a Knight of the French Legion of Honor by the President of France, was awarded an honorary doctorate from the National Institute of Scientific Research, the University of Montreal and the Royal Military College of Canada and was conferred the Medal of Merit from the Montreal Clinical Research Institute. Mr. Caillé’s main fields of expertise include leading and managing both state owned and privately held companies and professional associations in the energy sector, namely hydro-electricity, gas / thermal, renewables, nuclear and related innovative technologies, and leading teams involved in strategic planning and implementation of complex regional energy projects in Canada and abroad.
